Today, I want to take some time to discuss developing a prayer journal. I believe it can be used as an effective guide for your prayer time, encourage you and build your faith as you record the answers you have received. I will be providing some printable pages below for you to copy and use if you choose too. You can purchase a prayer journal, make one yourself or print pages to put in a notebook or just use a regular notebook. I chose several different examples to follow or print that you will find below. There are also many free printable prayer journal pages online if you would care to search for them. There were pages for men, children and specific pages with different appearances. The ones I have included below will be for anyone to use. If you are a scrapbooker, you may want to assemble your own special prayer journal.
Once you acquire or establish a prayer journal you can begin to build a stronger prayer life. I always recommend beginning prayer time with thanking God for the blessings you already have in your life, for prayers that have been answered, or just praising Him in hymns, songs or singing praises. The Lord inhabits the praises of our lips and this means He is present to hear your prayers. Then intercede for others, for countries, for this nation or anything else that the Holy Spirit may bring to your heart. Always pray for yourself and your future and your family. And offer thanksgiving for the answers to your prayers. Jesus thanked the Father for answering His prayers. It is also important to add at least one scripture to your prayer time daily. The bible builds our faith and we will need to fight the good fight of faith to have a strong prayer life. It may be a good idea to search for and record as many scriptures as you can find that pertain to prayer to build your faith in that area. It is also important to know the promises of God so you will be familiar with God's will so you are more confident in asking or praying for specific requests. Your bible may have a topical section that lists certain scriptures that pertain to different subjects or look at the index to find specific scriptures. Many times you can find a certain scripture by searching for it online. As you build your prayer journal you can reread your requests and see all the answers you have recorded at the time prayers were answered. A prayer journal can be a tremendous asset to your prayer life, i hope you consider it.
